An original Pumpus storybook opens each adventure with a real problem, building vocabulary and background knowledge before students pick up a single tool. Each story is available as a physical book or digitally, with tools that support fluency and literacy.

Boon-dah Learning is not an elementary CTE program, and it does not replace middle- or high-school science, construction, or technical programs. It gives students in grades 3 through 5 accessible, story-driven exposure to real tools, systems, and problem-solving processes, so later science, technical, engineering, and skilled-trade learning has something meaningful to build on.

Every Boon-dah Box investigation is built from a specific Florida NGSSS standard, and select micro:bit investigations are also mapped to K-12 Computer Science standards. Expand a grade below to see the full crosswalk.

Florida alignment reflects the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for Science and the B.E.S.T. Standards for Social Studies (Geography), checked against current Florida Department of Education guidance (2026). Because Florida sequences a few science concepts differently than other states, a small number of investigations preview a standard Florida formally introduces in a later grade within the 3–5 band; those rows are marked with the Florida grade level shown. Some investigations extend across more than one grade level.
